Cover/Support Teacher (Key stage 1/2)

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver lesson plans and evaluation in line with the school’s curriculum plans for the particular year groups/subjects taught.

- Plan, prepare and document lessons on a regular basis, ensuring continuity of teaching and learning for students where cover is provided.

- Manage curriculum delivery and associated resources in a manner that challenges and interests’ students and is appropriate to their needs and skill-levels.

- Take responsibility for curriculum delivery and associated resources in a manner consistent with the School’s and departmental policies and procedures.

- Maintain an ongoing formative assessment program related to Units of Work and associated learning objectives.

- Prepare students for and administer summative assessment programs in line with year group and phase teams.

- Maintain consistency with internal and relevant external marking schedules and moderation procedures.

- Maintain accurate records of formative and summative assessment results.

- Write high quality and accurate reports on student performance for internal and external use as required

- Set high expectations both academically and socially/emotionally for all pupils.

- Collaborate with colleagues in areas of planning and assessment and whole school initiatives.

Requirements:

- Bachelor degree in a related discipline.

- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in IGCSE/IB systems as a cover teacher.

Preferable :

- PGCE

- MSc Degree in Education

- Montessori Certificate
